Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Cards were on their backs in a three-way preflop all-in pot, with Rachi Almeida and Taehyun Hwang at risk versus Sabare Atmani.

Rachi Almeida: AQ
Taehyun Hwang: KK
Sabare Atmani: KQ

Hwang was in a superb spot with kings, and the runout of 6101078 did not alter matters, although he had a bit of a sweat when Atmani flopped a flush draw.

Calamusa Gets Paid; Spragg Out

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Pierre Calamusa
Pierre Calamusa

Pierre Calamusa opened to 1,200 from early position and was called by Alexandre Le Vaillant in the cutoff and Benjamin Spragg in the big blind.

All three players checked on the 843 flop and Spragg led out for 1,600 on the 3 turn. Both Calamusa and Le Vaillant called.

The 7 completed the board and Spragg bet 3,300. Calamusa thought for a while and raised to 12,000, which got a fold from Le Vaillant and a call from Spragg.

Calamusa showed Q8 for eights and treys and Spragg mucked.

On the very next hand, Calamusa and Spragg got into a preflop raising war that ended with Spragg all in. Spragg held pocket kings against Calamusa's ace-four, but an ace fell on the river — eliminating Spragg from the tournament.

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Dario De Paz opened under the gun and was called by Mahesh Kartik next along. Action folded to Ivan Abramchuk who looked like he was pondering a three-bet but ultimately decided to just call.

Kazuhiko Yotsushika was on the button and produced a three-bet of 7,000. De Paz and Kartik quickly folded but Abramchuk looked skeptical, the spot looking perfect for a button light squeeze.

Ivan Abramchuk: 99
Kazuhiko Yotsushika: A10

Abramchuk was ahead in a race and remained so after the 83477 runout, sending him a nice double-up and leaving Yotsushika with crumbs.
