Day 1 of the €10,200 Mystery Bounty at EPT Monte Carlo Starts Tonight
The first bounty-based tournament of the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Monte Carlo kicks off tonight with the €10,200 Mystery Bounty at Sporting Monte-Carlo, here in the glamourous principality of Monaco.
This three-day event, starting at 7 p.m. local time, is sure to see plenty of action and bounties galore, with players battling it out for chips and tokens to reveal a selection of mystery bounties.
Triumphant in this event last year was PokerStars Ambassador Sam Grafton, who defeated a field of 74 to win €145,400, including bounties. He defeated Sam Greenwood in heads-up play, overcoming a huge chip deficit in the process.
Earlier this year at EPT Paris, it was Dutchman Duco Ten Haven who scooped a total score of €244,000. He pulled one of the €50,000 bounties and defeated Quan Zhou heads-up, scoring €126,500 for first place and his first EPT title.
Action commences with blinds at 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante. Eight 30-minute levels will be played this evening, with each player getting a stack of 100,000 chips. There will be one 20 minute break at the end of Level 4.
Late registration remains open until the end of Level 10, approximately one hour into play on Day 2. Mystery bounty tokens will be awarded to each remaining player at the start of Level 13 and all tokens must be claimed at the end of the tournament.
Stay tuned as PokerNews will be bringing you all the action and updates from here on the French Riviera at EPT Monte Carlo.
