Marco Gambini raised to 250,000 in middle position before Alisa Sibgatova moved all in for 720,000 in the hijack. Pierre Basile then reraised to 1,200,000 in the small blind.
Gambini didn't realize Basile had raised and just put in the chips to call Sibgatova. He was forced to put in the extra chips and they saw a flop of 9♠6♠5♣.
Basile then moved all in for 4,000,000 and Gambini snap-called.

Basile was ahead with his pair of tens and poised to scoop the massive pot as the A♠ fell on the turn. The river, though, was the 3♠ and Gambini again spiked a two-outer on the river as he pounded the table in celebration and shot out of his seat.
A shocked Basile headed for the rail amidst a stream of profanity while Gambini, who was down to just 300,000 at one point today, took the tournament chip lead.
