Seaton Puts Saraniero in Blender

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Around 28,000 was in the middle on a completed board of J7597, in a hand between Archie Seaton in late position and Riccardo Saraniero in the small blind.

Saraniero led out with a bet of 35,000, and Seaton raised to 110,000. Saraniero, who had about 185,000 behind, went deep into the tank.

The clock was called, and it ran down. Saraniero's hand was declared dead — he turned over 76 for the rivered trip sevens, and implored Seaton to show his cards.

Seaton let him choose one, which was the 9, as he raked in a big pot.

Lin Tries to Bully Hassankashani, Plan Backfires

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

There were already around 130,000 chips in the pot on a board of 423J when the action was picked up with Arian Hassankashani checking it over to Ren Lin, who fired 32,000. Hassankashani called.

A 9 on the river brought in the flush draw and Hassankashani checked again, then Lin shoved. Hassankashani had 83,000 behind and made a quick call, which left him at risk.

Lin then flipped 76 for seven-high, and Hassankashani tabled AA for a pair of aces.

"I thought that was six-seven of clubs for a second," said Hassankashani when he saw Lin's hand. Luckily for Hassankashani, his eyes deceived him for a second and he earned himself a double-up, which sent Lin tumbling down the counts.

Rogov Finds Big River Call Near Bubble

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Maksim Rogov
Maksim Rogov

Maksim Rogov opened to 6,000 from early position, and was called by Christopher Nguyen in the small blind.

The K87 flop was checked through. On the 3 turn, Nguyen check-called a bet of 8,000 from Rogov.

The 7 river completed the board, and Nguyen checked once more. Rogov fired out a bet of 11,000, and looked surprised when he was met with a check-jam from Nguyen with the covering stack.

Rogov had about 105,000 behind, and went deep into the tank. The clock was called, and with the countdown on, Rogov stuck in calling chips.

Nguyen tapped the table and showed 108 for two pair, eights and sevens, but Rogov had KQ for kings-up, and he jumped from the table and pumped his fist in celebration when he saw his opponent's holding.

Damir Zhugralin
Damir Zhugralin

There was a big pot brewing between Andreas Christoforou and Damir Zhugralin over on Table 14 on a board of AQ58. With around 100,000 chips already in the pot, Christoforou checked the turn and Zhugralin fired a bet of 69,000. Christoforou thought for a while, then after confirming the bet size, he called.

A 2 landed on the river and Christoforou checked again, then Zhugralin quickly shoved for 136,500. Christoforou got the count and only needed around ten seconds before he flicked in the call, which created a pot of over 500,000.

Zhugralin flipped over top two pair with AQ and Christoforou tapped the table before he was forced to expose KQ for just a pair of queens.

A huge pot for Zhugralin, but diasater for Christoforou, who faces the upcoming bubble with a very short stack.

El Rais Makes the Right Call After Four-Minute Tank

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Mohamad El Rais
Mohamad El Rais

With around 75,000 chips already in the pot on a board of 76J96, Mohamad El Rais had checked it over from the small blind and Diogo Coelho fired a pot-sized bet of 72,500 from the big blind. El Rais sat motionless for a while then turned his attention to Coelho and gazed for around a minute before he turned his head back to the board.

Around four minutes passed and El Rais still hadn't made a decision, so one of the players seated at the table called the clock. Before the floor even had a chance to start the countdown, El Rais had called.

Coelho sheepishly turned over 84 for a missed straight draw that he picked up on the turn, and El Rais' pair of nines with 109 was the winner.

Quads for Rodoplu

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Leonidas Kostagiolas opened to 5,000 under the gun, and received a call from Tayfun Rodoplu in the next seat, before Valeriy Fokin produced a three-bet to 16,500 from the cutoff.

Action folded back to Kostagiolas, who called, and Rodolpu also came along for the ride.

The Q108 flop was checked through. The Q rolled off on the turn, and Kostagiolas led out with a bet of 20,000. Rodolpu called and Fokin folded.

On the 6 river, Kostagiolas jammed with the covering stack and Rodolpu's stack was in the middle almost before his opponent's.

Rodolpu tabled QQ for quad queens, while Kostagiolas had J7 for the missed flopped straight and flush draws.

Can Tschernigg Fold Kings Preflop?

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mihai Niste opened the action to 5,000 before Boris Tabiyev three-bet from the hijack. The action folded to Peter Tschernigg in the big blind and he four-bet to 31,500. Niste got out of the way ahead of Tabiyev jamming all in for 132,000.

Tschernigg went deep into the tank, mulling over his options for several minutes.

"You have aces?" asked Tschernigg. "I have kings."

Tschernigg extended his thinking time, ultimately calling the clock on himself. As the countdown began, he peaked at his cards one more time and open-folded KK to gasps at the table.

"You really want to see it?" asked Tabiyev. Tschernigg agreed as did the rest of the table.

It turned out that Tschernigg's radar was spot on as Tabiyev revealed AA.

"Wow! What am I playing? Get me out of here," exclaimed Casimir Seire. "Me too," added Nicolas Chouity.

"I don't know if we're playing the same game," added Seire as Tschernigg lapped up the compliments for his fold.
