Lin Tries to Bully Hassankashani, Plan Backfires
Level 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
There were already around 130,000 chips in the pot on a board of 4♦2♣3♣J♠ when the action was picked up with Arian Hassankashani checking it over to Ren Lin, who fired 32,000. Hassankashani called.
A 9♣ on the river brought in the flush draw and Hassankashani checked again, then Lin shoved. Hassankashani had 83,000 behind and made a quick call, which left him at risk.
Lin then flipped 7♠6♣ for seven-high, and Hassankashani tabled A♦A♠ for a pair of aces.
"I thought that was six-seven of clubs for a second," said Hassankashani when he saw Lin's hand. Luckily for Hassankashani, his eyes deceived him for a second and he earned himself a double-up, which sent Lin tumbling down the counts.
