Action was on the flop on a board of 529 and Stefano Pizzuti was already all in with his last few thousand in the middle postflop. Arthur Thiriart put in a big raise and Apoorva Goel called to create a side pot of around 220,000.

The turn was the 7 and Thiriart fired out a bet of 170,000. Goel then moved all in and Thiriart called all in for 576,000 total.

Goel had KK for an overpair, but Thiriart turned over 22 for a set of deuces and was way ahead, leaving Goel drawing to a king on the river.

The river came the 5 and Thiriart held to win a huge pot, sending Pizzuti to the rail and chipping up to over 1.2 million, putting him as the chip leader heading into the dinner break.
