Kurtulus Ascends to Six Figures With Flopped Nuts
Aleksandr Timoshenko in the small blind, Bora Kurtulus in the big blind, and Maxim Panyak in the cutoff had created a pot of 18,000 when the 4♠8♠2♠ flop was dealt.
Timoshenko then bet 4,500 in the small blind and was called by Kurtulus in the big blind. Panyak min-raised to 9,000 in the cutoff, leaving only 1,500 behind.
Timoshenko jammed all in, covering both opponents. Kurtulus quickly called off for 38,400, after which Panyak committed his final chips as well.

Kurtulus had flopped the nut flush, and he had both his opponents drawing dead once the K♣ hit the turn. The 2♥ river was rendered meaningless as Kurtulus was shipped the huge pot.
Timoshenko was left with just 700, which he lost the next hand to also be eliminated.
