Fast and Furious High Roller Action in the Cards as Day 1b of $2,200 Eureka High Roller Kicks Off at 7 PM
The Day 1b evening flight of the $2,200 Eureka High Roller is traditionally known for a more turbo-like structure. The same will be true for the edition at the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Cyprus. Starting at 7 p.m. local time at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa, the 20-minute blind levels of Day 1b will force plenty of action.
Last year, during the inaugural edition of EPT Cyprus, PokerStars' Alejandro Lococo grabbed the chip lead on Day 1b, propelling him to second place in the overall chip counts. Meanwhile, Wael Sarkis and Aziz Efe made it all the way to the final table after qualifying on Day 1b. Thus, despite the shorter levels, a strong performance on Day 1b can set one up for success on the second and final day of the tournament.

Day 1b, like its ongoing Day 1a counterpart, will play down to 15 percent of the field. All remaining players at that point will have secured themselves a min-cash as they bag up for Day 2 of the tournament, which starts at 12:30 p.m. local time on Monday, October 14.
Every player who buys into Day 1b will sit down with a starting stack of 30,000. Blinds will start at 100/200 with a big blind ante, leaving plenty of room for play early on. An option for unlimited reentries is available to all players until the start of Level 11, around 11 p.m. local time. A break of 20 minutes is scheduled after every five of the 20-minute levels, and play will continue until the bubble has burst.
Stay tuned as PokerNews will be present from start to finish to report the blazing action of Day 1b straight from the tournament floor.
