Flush Showdown: Korzinin Springs the Trap
Alexander Tkatschew kicked off the action from the cutoff with a raise to 1,800, and Yahor Dambrouski called from the button. Vladimir Korzinin, sitting in the small blind, decided to three-bet to 5,500, and only Dambrouski made the call.
The 3♥6♠K♠ flop saw Korzinin lead out with a bet of 4,900, which Dambrouski quickly called.
Both players opted to check on the 8♠ turn, keeping the pot under control.
When the 6♥ river hit, Korzinin fired a bet of 11,000. Dambrouski, after burning through a few time bank cards, responded by going all in, only to be snap-called by Korzinin.
At showdown, Dambrouski revealed Q♠10♠ for a flush, but Korzinin had him beat with A♠9♠ for the nut flush. As he doubled up, Korzinin remarked, "You wanted to trap me too."
