Day 1 of $10,200 Mystery Bounty on the Horizon
The 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Cyprus is well underway at the stunning Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa in Northern Cyprus, with the first five-figure buy-in event, the $10,200 Mystery Bounty, due to commence at 7 p.m. local time.
The tournament is a two-day affair, with players permitted a single reentry. Players will begin with a stack of 100,000, with blinds starting at 500/1,000, with a 1,000 big blind ante.
In order to reach Day 2, players will have to navigate ten 30-minute levels, with late registration open until the start of Day 2 (scheduled for noon local time Thursday, October 10). Mystery Bounties will come into play at the start of Level 13.
Oleg Semionov of Lithuania is the defending champion, who walked away last year with the trophy and $192,900 (including bounties), after defeating Aliaksandr Hirs of Belarus heads-up for his first major live tournament victory.
Semionov bested a field of 102 entries, and overcame a tough final table including French stars Antoine Labat and Julien Sitbon, along with Tunisian crusher Maher Nouira.
