Xu Scoops Three-Way All-In, Koks Left Short-Stacked
Yuan Xu opened from under the gun to 80,000 and got called by Andre Marquardt on the button, Andrey Koks in the small blind, and Viliyan Petleshkov in the big blind.
The four went to a flop of K♦3♠6♠ which Koks and Petleshkov checked, then Xu fired a 200,000-chip continuation-bet. Marquardt then shoved for over 2,000,000, and Koks committed his stack of a little under 1,000,000. Petleshkov quickly folded, and Xu went into the tank. After getting the counts, Xu decided to go for it, and put in his stack, which totaled 755,000.
Yuan Xu: A♠Q♠
Andrey Koks: 6♣6♦
Andre Marquardt: A♥K♣
Xu had the shortest stack and needed to beat both of his opponents in order to remain alive, but it was Koks with the best of it as he had flopped a set. Marquardt had the biggest stack but would need a very favorable runout if he wanted to scoop the pot and eliminate two players.
It was Xu who took the lead on the 10♠ turn, as he improved to the nut flush, which left Marquardt drawing dead. Koks would scoop the pot if the board paired on the river, instead the 2♠ rolled off, which meant Xu tripled up, and Koks took a small side pot against Marquardt.
