Govert Metaal raised to 250,000 on the button and Yurii Zabrodotskyi shoved on him from the big blind. Metaal called off for 665,000 total.

The flop came 5510 which was clean, but the 4 on the turn gave Zabrodotskyi a full house to cinch the hand and make the river A irrelevant.

Only 16 Remain on Day 6 of the EPT Barcelona €5,300 Main Event

The prestigious grind of the €5,300 EPT Main Event, running as part of the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona, continues today with Day 6 of this seven-day event. At noon local time, the remaining 16 competitors will return to Casino Barcelona to make a play for their share of the €9,578,750 prize pool, all vying for the Gold PokerStars shard and the first-place prize of €1,512,000.

As the dust settled last night, Rania Nasreddine easily took pole position in the counts, having amassed a stack of 7,200,000 by the end of proceedings. Nasreddine most notably finished third in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event just five months ago, making this tournament run a compelling campaign for back-to-back final tables.

However, Nasreddine’s path to the top is not yet clear of obstacles with the likes of Fabiano Kovalski and David Coleman still commanding healthy stacks of 5,550,000 and 3,570,000, respectively.

Coleman’s reputation speaks for itself, and this deep run is yet another opportunity for him to claim an additional major title in his already fruitful career as a professional. In addition, Kovalski finished fourth in the 2022 EPT Barcelona Main Event for €565,280 and will be sure to put up a fight in hopes of exceeding his own personal best set two years ago.
