"I Love This Game"

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Vladimir Erceg
Vladimir Erceg

Jack Kiriakus opened to 200,000 in the hijack and Vladimir Erceg three-bet jammed for around 500,000 in the big blind. Kiriakus gave it some thought and called with a bigger stack.

Vladimir Erceg: 55 All in
Jack Kiriakus: K5

Erceg was ecstatic when he saw his opponent only had three outs and he cheered as the dealer put out the flop 67Q and 9 turn.

"DON'T!" Erceg cried as the dealer put down the safe J river that sent Erceg into a Serbian tirade as he continued his spectacular spin-up.

"One big blind. Back in the game. We haven't even started. I love this game!"

Back-to-Back Doubles for Erceg

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Vladimir Erceg
Vladimir Erceg

Hand One:

Vladimir Erceg moved all in for 55,000 from the button and Fabiano Kovalski called in the small blind.

Vladimir Erceg: A6 All in
Fabiano Kovalski: 33

Erceg's tournament run was all but over on the 879Q runout, however, the 10 river improved him to a straight to double up.

Hand Two:

The very next hand Erceg moved all in from the cutoff for 190,000. Jack Kiriakus, in the big blind, toyed with his big blind in such a manner that he retrieved his chips from the middle, only to return them to the same place. The floor was called as his intent seemed ambiguous, eventually ruling the motion as a call.

Vladimir Erceg: AJ All in
Jack Kiriakus: 97

The board ran out K5244; Kiriakus' mistake earned Erceg a second double up in a row.

Nick Palma
Nick Palma

A huge three-way all in just took place at the secondary feature table resulting in the demise of Nick Palma.

Palma was all-in for approximately 600,000 on the button versus Tomasz Krzesinski in the small blind who had the covering stack, with Javey Timmer all in from the big blind for about 1,300,000.

The flop came QJ10, immediately giving Krzesinski Broadway to leave both opponents on the verge of elimination.

The turn A however saved Timmer, also giving him Broadway. Palma was dead to a chop and the Q river confirmed his elimination while his two executioners chopped up his chips.

Yunkyu Song
Yunkyu Song

Yunkyu Song opened to 80,000 in middle position and Pablo Beltran three-bet to 175,000 in the small blind. Song, who had just raise-folded the previous hand, pushed out a stack of time banks and proceeded to sit back in an attempt to ladder.

After using six time banks, Song was informed he needed to act. He raised all in for 690,000 and Beltran called.

Yunkyu Song: AQ All in
Pablo Beltran: QQ

"Three outs. Ace is coming!" said Song.

"Queen is coming," Beltran replied cheekily.

The 652 flop and 10 turn didn't change anything, but the A landed on the river to give Song the winner for a big double up.

"And I still have some time banks!" Song cheered.

Lodge Folds a Set on the River After Nasreddine Backdoors a Flush

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Harry Lodge
Harry Lodge

Alexandre Fournier raised to 60,000 from early position holding A10 and got called by Jack Sinclair in the cutoff with 55, Rania Nasreddine on the button with QJ, Harry Lodge from the small blind holding 44, and Jianwei Lin in the big blind with 87.

The flop came 10J4 which checked all the way to Nasreddine on the button, who bet 125,000. Lodge then raised to 375,000 which got Lin, Fournier, and Sinclair all to fold, then Nasreddine called.

An A fell on the turn and Lodge fired 550,000, and Nasreddine called.

When the 9 fell on the river, Lodge checked. Nasreddine quickly reached for chips and bet 750,000, which prompted Lodge to use some extra time. After using two time-extensions, Lodge found the fold with his set of fours, and Nasreddine was pushed the pot.

Fabiano Kovalski
Fabiano Kovalski

Fabiano Kovalski and Pablo Beltran got to the river in a heads-up pot on a board of A10J2J.

Kovalski was first to act and put out a sizable bet of 655,000 with less than that in the pot. Beltran tossed out a chip for a call.

Kovalski showed AJ for jacks full of aces, while Beltran frustratingly showed KQ for no-good Broadway.

Oscar Mas
Oscar Mas

After a stretch of eight straight hands without a flop at Table 3, business picked up in a big way as after Nick Palma opened to 60,000 from the button, Oscar Mas moved all in for 460,000 from the small blind.

Javey Timmer was in the big blind and asked for a count. He used a time bank and then moved all in for just under two million.

Palma quickly folded and Mas was at risk.

Oscar Mas: 77All in
Javey Timmer: AA

"They say it's always coming seven in Barcelona," commented Palma before the dealer spread the flop which indeed came as he predicted, falling 874.

Mas was in cruise control until the A fell on the turn gave Timmer a set of aces to regain the lead.

The 10 completed the board and Mas was eliminated in heartbreaking fashion.
