Sitbon Scores Another Knockout as Cessy Hits the Rail

Laurent Cessy jammed under the gun and the action folded around to Julien Sitbon in the small blind. After asking for a count, and the dealer letting him know it was 230,000, he moved all in as well, forcing the big blind out of the pot.

Cessy let out a grunt when he saw he was dominated, and the dealer fanned the A♠4♣4♦ flop, pairing both of their aces. Cessy picked up some chop outs, but the 7♠ turn and 2♦ river were no help as he exited the tournament.

Fintan Hand opened from early position to 20,000. Dongwoo Ko called in middle position and Farukh Tach called from the hijack. Nicholas Petitti completed in the big blind.

The four players checked the 4♦2♥7♦ flop and Petitti checked to Hand on the 5♦ turn. Hand bet 25,000, Ko folded, but Tach and Petitti called.

Petitti then checked again on the 6♦ river, which brought in an open-ended four-liner to a straight flush. Hand bet 20,000 and Tach folded. Petitti went into the tank before making the call.

"The best hand you can have" said Fintan as he tabled A♥8♦ for an eight high straight flush.

Petitti showed the A♦ before saying "Luckily I didn't raise."

Hand gave him props and said "Fair play," as he stacked up the chips.
