Action was picked up with Tom Vogelsang three-betting a 2,500 open from Sven Andersson. Vogelsang had made it 9,000.

Andersson decided to put in the four-bet to 23,000. Undeterred, Vogelsang five-bet all in, garnering a quick fold from Andersson.

Kayhan Mokri opened from the cutoff to 2,500. Jules Dickerson called in the small blind and Seth Davies completed in the big blind.

Both blinds checked the KKJ flop to Mokri who fired a bet of 2,000. Dickerson folded and Davies called. The 5 brought another check from Davies, prompting Mokri to fire a bet of 7,500. Davies quickly folded.

The EPT Barcelona €20,000 No-Limit Hold'em Runs Today

The 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona continues today with the €20,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament. This is the most expensive buy in so far at the 20th Anniversary EPT Barcelona. Play will commence at 12:30 p.m local time at the Casino Barcelona on the city's waterfront.

This is the first €20,000 buy-in tournament to be held at EPT Barcelona. Last year, a series of €25,000 tournaments took place and the same is set to occur this year with the addition of this €20,000 tournament.

Last year's €25,000 winners include Felipe Ketzer, who took home €255,480. David Yan won the €25,000 No-Limit Hold’em II event and won €260,899 after agreeing a deal with Pablo Brito in heads-up play.

A shot clock will be implemented from the start of the event. Each player will have 15 seconds to act on their first decision and 30 seconds on any subsequent decision.

Players will receive six time bank cards worth 30 seconds each at the time of taking their seat then one additional time bank card at the start of every odd level (3,5,7,9 etc.).

Eliminated players who reenter can claim the number of time bank cards they had at elimination when they take their seat and not later.

Action will commence with blinds at 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante. Each player will start with a stack of 100,000 chips. There will be 15-minute breaks at the end of Levels 3, 6 and 10 before a 75-minute dinner break after Level 14.

Late registration will remain open until the end of Level 10.
