The 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona continues today with the €100,000 EPT Super High Roller. Casino Barcelona will host this prestigious three-day event that will surely attract some of the best and brightest stars in the poker community.

The same event last year summoned a healthy field of 18 entries, which saw the eventual winner, Kayhan Mokri, claim the trophy and the lion’s share of the €1,746,360 prize pool. Mokri defeated Jean-Noel Thorel in heads-up play to take home a massive €750,960 for his efforts.

Players will have a starting stack of 250,000 chips, with blinds beginning at 500/1,000 and a 1,000 big blind ante. Day 1 is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. local time as competitors play through eight 60-minute levels, with an additional 20-minute break every two levels.

A shot clock will be implemented from the start of the event and players will have six time bank cards worth 30 seconds each. Each player has 15 seconds to act on their first decision and 30 seconds on any subsequent decision. At the start of every level, an additional time bank card will be allocated to each player.

This is an unlimited reentry event, and late registration will be available until the start of Day 2.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for the coverage of this event from the moment cards are in the air until a winner is crowned on the 2nd of September.
