Christopher Philippou Eliminated in 9th Place €30,050

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Christopher Philippou opened to 50,000 from under the gun and received a call from Patrick Kennedy in the small blind before Youness Barakat three-bet shoved for 218,000 from the big blind. Philippou shoved for his stack of 260,000 and Kennedy, who covered both players, made the call.

Youness Barakat: AQJ8 All in
Christopher Philippou: AA62 All in
Patrick Kennedy: KQJ5

Philippou was still ahead with his aces on the 842 flop but Kennedy just needed a club to complete his flush draw and eliminate both opponents. The 10 turn also brought a straight draw for both Kennedy and Barakat which came right in on the 9 turn. Barakat and Kennedy split the main pot with a queen-high straight and Kennedy took the small side pot while Philippou became the first final table casualty.

Samuel Albeck Eliminated in 10th Place (€25,050)

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Action folded to Samuel Albeck on the button, who moved all in for 67,000. Jorryt van Hoof repotted it in the small blind, forcing out the big blind.

Samuel Albeck: QQ56 All in
Jorryt van Hoof: KKJ6

Albeck had been unlucky to run pocket queens into pocket kings, and was left drawing to running queens after the KJJ flop gave his opponent the full house. The 6 turn confirmed his exit, and the 3 river completed the board.

We have now reached the final table.

Ka Kwan Lau

Ka Kwan Lau opened to 80,000 under the gun, before Patrick Kennedy produced a pot three-bet in the next seat. Action folded back to Lau, who moved all in for around 320,000 total, with Kennedy making the quick call.

Ka Kwan Lau: AJ108 All in
Patrick Kennedy: AA65

Lau was in trouble versus Kennedy's aces, and the AK3 flop improved Kennedy to top set, while still leaving Lau with outs to the straight.

The Q rolled off on the turn to give Lau the straight, but the river was the K to give Kennedy the full house.

Dangerman Lau was sent to the rail before the final table, while Kennedy continued stacking up chips, holding a huge lead in the tournament.
