Berger Unhappy with Worthington-Leese
Level 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Patrick Berger opened to 6,500 from under the gun and called when Leo Worthington-Leese three-bet to 18,000 on his direct left.
Berger check-called for 14,500 on the J♦10♣4♥ flop before the 3♦ turn checked through to the 10♠ river. Berger, with 82,000 behind, checked and Worthington-Leese jammed as the slightly bigger stack.
Berger went into the tank and began to list the hands that he beat and those that he didn't. After a fair bit of thinking time, Berger made the call.
The Austrian was immediately frustrated that Worthington-Leese had rivered trips with A♣10♦, which bested his Q♠Q♦. A small tirade about Worthington-Leese's cards followed before he left the tournament room.
