Jules Dickerson opened to 1,200 and was reraised by Christopher Nguyen to 2,600. Niklas Astedt three-bet to 5,200 and was then four-bet to 18,000 by Simon Mattsson. Dickerson and Nguyen folded and Astedt made the call.

The flop came K♠J♥5♠, which Astedt checked. Mattsson bet 7k and Astedt called. Astedt checked again on the A♥ turn. Mattsson went into the tank and used a timebank before checking back.

Both players knuckled the J♣ river and Astedt tabled A♦Q♦ for top two pair. Mattsson mucked and Astedt scooped the pot.

Nozomu Shimizu raised to 2,400 from late position, Antoine Labat called on the button, and the big blind came along.

The flop came 4♥8♦9♦. Action checked to Labat, who bet 2,700, which only Shimizu called. The turn the 5♣. Shimizu checked and Labat bet 9,000, which Shimizu called.

The river was the 10♣. Shimizu checked again and Labat bet 25,000. Shimizu folded his hand and Labat took the pot, bringing his stack to around 280,000.

Casimir Seire raised to 2,400 from late position and Conor Beresford pushed all in from the button for 28,500. Seire called and had exactly the same stack as the players flipped their cards.

The board ran out 5♦4♦6♣2♦4♥. Beresford held with his ace-jack high and the fours on board. He doubled up to around 60,000 and Seire was eliminated right before Day 1 came to an end.

Schwippert led the A♦10♣10♥ flop for 10,000 and Chan called. Schwippert continued barreling the 6♦ turn for 12,000 and Chan called again.

The 7♠ river drew a third barrel from Schwippert for 26,300. Chan wasted no time shoving to put Schwippert all in. Schwippert made the call and tabled A♥J♣ for top two pair before Chan showed 8♥9♥ for a straight.
