Camosci Makes Broadway

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Enrico Camosci
Enrico Camosci

Enrico Camosci opened 4,000 in the hijack, and Andras Nemeth defended the big blind.

Both players checked to the KQ9J turn, where Nemeth check-called a bet of 3,000.

The 10 completed the board, putting a straight to the king on the board, and Nemeth checked for a final time. Camosci flung a 5,000 chip into the middle, and after some consideration, Nemeth called.

Camosci showed A7 rivering Broadway, and Nemeth mucked his hand.

Hula Busts to Mutafov's Straight

Ihor Hula
Ihor Hula

The action is joined on the flop of AQJ, with Ihor Hula making it 11,000 from the small blind and getting called by Fahredin Mustafov in the cutoff.

Hula led out for 30,000 on the 8 turn and was again called.

The Ukrainian shoved the 3 river and was snap-called by Mustafov, who turned over 109 for a straight. Hula tabled AQ having flopped two pair, but it wasn't enough as he was sent to the rail.

On another table, Gab Yong Kim was also eliminated from the tournament.

Cooler Flop Sends Shimizu to the Rail

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Nozomu Shimizu
Nozomu Shimizu

With about 10,000 in the middle, the flop read 864, and Nozomu Shimizu was seen getting his last 15,000 into the middle against Elias Gutierrez.

Nozomu Shimizu: 64
Elias Gutierrez: 88

It was a nasty flop for Shimizu as his bottom two pair ran into top set leaving him drawing thin. The 6 fell on the turn, giving him an out for quads as he laughed and pointed at the six. The 5 river was close but wasn't what he needed as he stood up from the table.

Nemeth Doubles Up in Bizarre Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Andres Nemeth
Andres Nemeth

Elias Gutierrez kicked off the action with a raise to 3,000 from the hijack. Daisuke Ogita then three-bet to 8,500 from the cutoff before Andras Nemeth made it 21,000 to go from the small blind.

Big blind Nozomu Shimizu tossed in some chips, thinking that Nemeth cold called the three-bet. The amount was not enough to be considered a five-bet, so it was ruled as a call. Gutierrez quickly got out of dodge, but Ogita put in the extra chips as well.

The three-way, four-bet pot went off to a flop of J49. Nemeth checked and Shimizu put in a single T-25,000 chip for a bet. Ogita folded quickly, but Nemeth jammed all in for 87,500, followed by a quick call from his Japanese opponent.

Andras Nemeth: AJ
Nozomu Shimizu: 1010

Nemeth had a big lead with his top pair, and it held when the board ran out with the 9 turn and Q river. He raked in a big double-up while Shimizu dived under the starting amount of 100,000 chips.

Hirokazu Kobayashi
Hirokazu Kobayashi

Deividas Daubaris opened 3,000 before Hirokazu Kobayashi three-bet to 11,500. After thinking for a few moments, Daubaris announced all-in and Kobayashi wasted no time calling off his stack of 75,500.

Deividas Daubaris: AK
Hirokazu Kobayashi: KK

Kobayashi was in great shape as the flop of 222 hit the felt and the 8 turn changed nothing, but the dreadful A hit the river, giving Daubaris deuces full of aces to eliminate Kobayashi.

Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Toni Kaukua opened his button for 3,000 chips and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 13,500 from the big blind. Kaukua asked after his opponent's stack and made a call after he received an answer.

The flop of 428 saw O'Dywer continue for 14,000 chips and Kaukua called once more. The 8 was then turned and O'Dwyer slowed down with a check.

Kaukua slammed in a pile of chips, enough to put O'Dwyer all-in for his stack of 57,000. O'Dwyer weighed his options for a bit but made the call before his shot clock ran out.

Steve O'Dwyer: AK
Toni Kaukua: 77

Kaukua was in front with two pair, and improved to a full house on the 7 river to send O'Dwyer to the exit.

Motoyoshi Okamura
Motoyoshi Okamura

Enrico Camosci opened 3,000 in the hijack, and Toni Kaukua called before Motoyoshi Okamura three-bet 11,000 on the button. Camosci folded, and Kaukua called.

The dealer fanned a flop of JJ8, and Kaukua check-called a bet of 7,000.

The 3 turn was checked through to see the 2 river. Kaukua led for 50,000, and Okamura only took a few seconds to call.

Kaukua tabled AJ, for trip jacks, ace-kicker, pipping Okamura's KJ.

"Wow, you checked the turn," said tablemate Fahredin Mustafov.

Gutierrez Left With Few Chips

Level 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Elias Gutierrez
Elias Gutierrez

Elias Gutierrez raised from the button and Hirokazu Kobayashi three-bet from the small blind. Gutierrez then four-bet jammed for 61,500, covering Kobayashi's stack. Kobayashi made the call, putting his tournament life at risk.

Hirokazu Kobayashi: A9
Elias Gutierrez: JJ

The 2K6 brought no trouble for Gutierrez, but the A river saw Kobayashi hit one of his three direct outs. No jack came on the 6 river to save Gutierrez, and he headed towards the exit of the tournament area.

The tournament floor called Gutierrez back as he still had 11,000 chips left, and he retook his seat with a chance to spin up his small stack.
