Back-Raise Backfires for Hocquaux
Level 13
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Grzegorz Kozieja raised from under the gun to 5,000 and Alexandre Hocquaux flat called next to act. Atanas Pavlov had different ideas and made the amount to go 19,000. The rest of the table folded and Kozieja put in the call. This is when Hocquaux decided to four-bet jam his stack in, worth 96,500. Pavlov quite quickly called his stack off for less, being 74,000 chips. Kozieje, who covered both opponents, thought for a good while before ultimately folding.
Atanas Pavlov:
Alexandre Hocquaux:
Pavolv was in good shape to get more than a double-up, and he did just so when the board ran out . Hocquaux on the other hand was left with just a few big blinds.
