Rubiralta Doubles in Massive Pot

Level 33 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Gerard Rubiralta
Gerard Rubiralta

Gerard Cortes opened to 400,000 on the button and Or Suliman three-bet to 1,250,000 in the small blind. Cortes responded with a four-bet to 2,100,000 which sent Suliman into the tank for a couple of minutes before just calling.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Suliman instantly ripped all in. Cortes looked back at his cards and then called off his stack of 3,550,000 which created a massive pot.

Gerard Cortes: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Or Suliman: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Cortes out-flopped Suliman with two pair in the pot of the tournament. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing and the {a-Spades} on the river gave Cortes a huge chip lead with four players remaining.

Joachim Haraldstan Eliminated in 5th Place (€64,100)

Level 32 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Joachim Haraldstad
Joachim Haraldstad

Joachim Haraldstad raised to 400,000 first to act before Or Suliman made it 1,250,000 from the big blind. Haraldstad paused for a few moments before jamming for 4,000,000. Suliman had him covered and called.

Joachim Haraldstad: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Or Suliman: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Suliman was ahead with his pocket kings, but Haraldstad had a host of outs with his flush draw following the {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. The {j-Spades} turn kept Suliman ahead and the {3-Diamonds} river gave him the checkmark as well as the elimination.

Galindo Gives Up on the River

Level 32 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Humberto Lopes Galindo raised to 550,000 from the small blind and Gerard Cortes called in the big blind. The flop fell {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Galindo continued with a bet of 325,000, which Cortes called.

The turn was the {j-Spades} and Galindo fired out another bet of 650,000. Cortes called and the {q-Spades} landed on the river. Galindo slowed down with a check this time and Cortes checked it back. Galindo tabled {k-Clubs}{6-Spades} for just king-high while Cortes showed {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for a pair of jacks.

Jonathan Proudfoot Eliminated in 6th Place (€49,300)

Level 32 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Jonathan Proudfoot
Jonathan Proudfoot

Humberto Lopes Galindo opened to 500,000 from the small blind and snap-called when Jonathan Proudfoot moved all in for around 2,500,000.

Jonathan Proudfoot: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Humberto Lopes Galindo: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} was of no help to the dominated Proudfoot and neither was the {q-Spades} turn or {9-Spades} river. Galindo collected the pot and claimed Proudfoot's bounty chip.

Top 5 Casino Movies You Must Watch

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

There has been no shortage of movies over the decades portraying the glamor, grit, and decadence of the casino world, from high-stakes nosebleeds to underground games.

Some of the movies that provide the most honest, hilarious, or entertaining looks at the gambling world include Ocean's Eleven (2001), Owning Mahowny (2003), The Cooler (2003), The Hangover (2009), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) and Uncut Gems (2019).

But none of these great movies made PokerNews' list of the five best casino movies of all time.

Note: This list deliberately does not include any poker movies, so don't get angry when you don't see classics Rounders and Mississippi Grind. PokerNews already made a list of the five best poker movies of all time.

Natan Chauskin Eliminated in 7th Place (€37,950)

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Natan Chauskin
Natan Chauskin

Joachim Haraldstad opened to 300,000 under the gun and Natan Chauskin shoved all in for around 2,500,000 in the small blind. The big blind folded and Haraldstad instantly called to put Chauskin at risk.

Natan Chauskin: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Joachim Haraldstad: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip for one of the biggest pots in the tournament and the flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} left Chauskin in the lead with his pair of tens. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn was also safe but the {k-Hearts} on the river was exactly what Haraldstad was looking for. The stacks were counted and Haraldstad indeed had the larger of the two, sending Chauskin to the payout desk.
