Jacobson Raises For Half Stack; Doubles Up On Flop

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Martin Jacobson raised from early position to 250,000, which was around half of his stack. Action folded around to Aleksandr Shevliakov in the big blind, who looked at his opponent's chips and realized that he was effectively all in. Shevliakov called the bet.

The flop came {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Shevliakov open-shoved for the rest of Jacobson's chips. Jacobson made the call and both players were effectively committed preflop.

Shevliakov showed {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Jacobson showed {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a flopped two pair. The turn and river brought no joy for Shevliakov and Jacobson doubled up.

Kaukua Gets Paid On River and Continues To Chip Up

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Toni Kaukua raised to 250,000 from the small blind and Diogo Coelho called in the big blind.

The flop was dealt and the cards came {3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Kaukua made a continuation bet of 190,000 and Coelho called. The turn was the {q-Clubs} and both players checked.

The river came the {j-Diamonds}. Kaukua fanned out seven black chips for a bet of 700,000. Coelho thought it through before making the call. Kaukua showed {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}. He'd hit a pair of jacks on the river so, on the paired board, he had two pair. Coelho threw his hand into the muck.

It was another pot for Kaukua, who now has well over 5 millon chips.
