Laroche Flops the Nuts to Double Up

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Alexis Laroche opened to 700 in early position and was called by Tom Orpaz in the hijack and Aurelien Russo in the big blind. The flop came J109 and the action checked to Orpaz who bet 1,000. Russo folded but Laroche check-raised to 3,000 which Orpaz called.

The turn was the 5 and the two players quickly got all of their chips in the middle, with Laroche being the player at risk for 14,100. Laroche tabled KQ for a straight while Orpaz was drawing slim with K9. The river was the A and Laroche earned himself a double-up.
