The 10♥ turn then checked around before Sammartino took the betting lead on the 7♦ river. He led out for 7,500 and this sent Eychenne into the tank.
After using one time bank extension, Eychenne made the call. Sammartino reluctantly showed his Q♥J♦ and Eychenne proudly showed his A♦K♠ for the ace-high hero call.
The call elevated Eychenne's stack to more than double the starting 50,000.
