In a heads-up pot with just over 10,000 in the middle on a flop showing 10♥7♦4♣, Philip Sternheimer checked from the hijack to Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff who bet out 6,000. Sternheimer pondered for a moment before making the call and the pair saw the 2♠ turn.
Sternheimer checked again and Chidwick tossed out a bet of 12,000, which Sternheimer came along to the 8♠ river. Sternheimer quickly checked a third time and Chidwick took close to 30 seconds to contemplate his options. Eventually Chidwick tapped the table and the cards were shown.
Sternheimer rolled over J♦10♦ for top pair, but was no good against the Q♥Q♦ for Chidwick to scoop the pot.
