Bleck Is Building a Stack

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Peter Bleck
Peter Bleck

Igor Kotyk raised to 2,000 from under the gun and got called by Peter Bleck in the cutoff and Alexis Nicolai in the big blind. The flop fanned out 635 and all players opted to check.

The turn was the 10 and Nicolai led out for 3,200. Kotyk got out of the way, but Bleck quickly threw in some calling chips. On the 7 river, Nicolai increased his bet to 7,800 and Bleck looked agonized as he was thinking about his decision.

Almost putting in the chips several times, he eventually asked for an exact count of the bet. When he received it, he paid the amount due, seemingly expecting to lose. However, Nicolai instantly mucked his cards and Bleck got a surprising, but welcome, win.

Bleck is now among the chip leaders in the room, playing over three times starting stack.
