Mokri Doubles Up Martirosian Then Busts to Adams

Level 13 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Kayhan Mokri
Kayhan Mokri

Artur Martirosian opened to 35,000 from the hijack before Kayhan Mokri three-bet to 104,000 from the cutoff. Martirosian called, then check-called for 82,000 on the KQ5 flop, which brought in the 9 turn. Both players checked and saw the 10 river.

Martirosian used up a time bank before moving all in for 504,000 and after a count, Mokri called as the bigger stack. Martirosian tabled his Q10 for the flush, which bested Mokri's straight as he had the KJ.

Mokri was then all in on the next hand with 9x9x for his last 330,000 after getting into a raising war with Timothy Adams. The Canadian called the all-in with QJ to put Mokri at risk. Adams' hand ended up being the winner following the board runout and the start of day chip leader was eliminated.

Mike Watson: A6
Mikita Badziakouski: AJ

Watson shook his head as the cards were revealed and he realized how far behind he was. The board ran out KJ10K6 to give Badziakouski a pair of jacks on the flop and two pair with the kings on board.

Dvoress Eliminated as Event Reaches Final Two Tables

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Daniel Dvoress raised from early position and action folded to Santhosh Suvarna, who called in the big blind.

The flop came K74. Suvarna checked and Dvoress bet 20,000. Survana check-raised to 65,000 and then Dvoress moved all in. Survana made the call for the rest of Dvoress' chips.

Daniel Dvoress: A8
Santhosh Suvarna: K7

Dvoress had the nut flush draw with an overcard to the board and Suvarna had top two pair.

The turn came the 7 and the river was the 10. Neither card helped Dvoress and Suvarna made a full house on the turn. Dvoress was eliminated in 17th place.

With that, the tournament is now down to the final two tables.

Mike Watson opened the action with a raise to 25,000 from under the gun. Action folded to Santhosh Suvarna, who pushed all in for 87,000 chips. Watson made the call and players flipped their cards, with Suvarna at risk of elimination.

Santhosh Suvarna: A8
Mike Watson: JJ

Watson had pocket jacks and it looked like Suvarna was set to bust. However, the board ran out AK7AK. Survana hit a pair of aces on the flop and made trips on the turn. He doubled up through and it's not Watson that is short with around ten big blinds.

On the 3 turn, Badziakouski check-raised for a second time, making it 135,000 to go. Mateos, who had fired for 33,000, called again.

Badziakouski then put in a tower of chips on the 4 river, and Mateos made the snap fold.

Santhosh Suvarna: K9

Level 11 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alex Kulev
Alex Kulev

Alex Kulev opened to 35,000 from the small blind, and Artur Martirosian defended his big blind to see the K104 flop. Kulev check-raised to 87,000 after Martirosian bet 27,000. The latter called.

Kulev continued for 140,000 on the 3 turn, and Martirosian stuck around again. On the 6, Kulev slid in a tower of T-25,000 chips to put Martirosian all-in. The Russian had 283,000 behind, and after using up four time chips, Martirosian called.

Kulev had Jx9x for jack-high while Martirosian had called correctly with his K9.

Kulev Cracks Aces to Bust O'Dwyer

Level 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer opened to 18,000 from under the gun and Jenya Gavrilovich called from the cutoff. Justin Bonomo then made it 80,000 from the small blind. Alex Kulev then four-bet jammed for around 370,000. O'Dwyer, who had slightly less, called for his tournament life while the remaining players folded.

Steve O'Dwyer: AA
Alex Kulev: 1010

O'Dwyer was in great shape to get a double up and some change but the K10K flop gave Kulev a full house. No ace or king would arrive on the 4 turn and Q river, and a dejected O'Dwyer left the tournament room.

Haxton Next to Bust; Vaskaboinikau Hits Aces and Chidwick Takes Last Few Chips

Level 10 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Action folded around to Isaac Haxton, who raised from the small blind. Mikalai Vaskaboinikau reraised all in from the big blind and Haxton called. Vaskaboinikau had the slightly shorter stack and so was the player at risk, although for both players the hand basically represented their tournament life.

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: AA
Isaac Haxton: A7

Vaskaboinikau was way out ahead with his pocket aces. The board ran out 64J910 and Vaskaboinikau held. That reduced Haxton's stack to less than one big blind.

A couple of hands later, Timothy Adams raised to 18,000 from early position and Haxton called for his last 3,000 chips. Stephen Chidwick called in the small blind to play for a side pot against Adams.

The flop came 7Q6 and both players checked. The turn was the 3 and Chidwick led out for 13,000. Adams folded and Chidwick and Haxton flipped their cards.

Isaac Haxton: K8
Stephen Chidwick: QJ

Chidwick had a pair of queens and Haxton needed a king on the river. The river came the 9 and Chidwick held. Haxton was eliminated in 20th place.

Jean Noel Thorel
Jean Noel Thorel

Jean-Noel Thorel opened to 16,000 from under the gun and called Steve O'Dwyer's three-bet to 60,000.

Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Two hands later, Thorel opened in the small blind before Justin Bonomo, with a stack of 380,000, three-bet from the big blind. Thorel responded by four-bet jamming as the bigger stack and Bonomo called for his tournament life.

Justin Bonomo: AK
Jean-Noel Thorel: JJ

It was a classic race, but Bonomo inched ahead after pairing up on the A63 flop and ended up with trips following the 7 turn and A river.

Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo was all in against Jean-Noel Thorel preflop. Petrangelo had already doubled up twice at the start of Day 2 and now found himself at risk again. Players flipped their cards.

Nick Petrangelo: AJ
Jean-Noel Thorel: KK

Thorel had pocket kings and Petrangelo found himself far behind. The board ran out 6KA107. Petrangelo paired his ace on the flop, but Thorel made a set of kings to claim the pot.

Petrangelo was eliminated from the tournament in 21st place.
