Vlachos Spikes River to Eliminate Constantin on Money Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There were three all-in-and-calls on the stone money bubble and the first was at Table 4 with Andre von Ins being at risk against Jean-David Bensemhoun.

Andre von Ins: 77x
Jean-David Bensemhoun: 1010

Von Ins had the inferior pair, but that mattered little as the dealer put down the flop of 667 to give him a full house. The 6 turn created the possibility of the full house being counterfeited, but the safe Q river secured his double to save him from elimination.

At Table 1, Adrian-Remus Constantin was at risk against Lampros Vlachos and the cards were flipped.

Lampros Vlachos: Q10
Adrian-Remus Constantin: KJ

The flop landed 2K10 to give Constantin the lead with a pair of kings, but the A turn increased Vlachos' outs with flush and straight draws. He hit them both as the dealer put down the J to give Constantin a no-good two pair to mark his elimination on the money bubble.

The all-in at the third table was less climactic as both players held ace-king to result in a split pot.

Constantin's elimination marked the end of Day 1c as players bagged and tagged ahead of Day 2. Stay tuned for a full recap of the day's events.
