Wild Ride for Van Der Swaluw

Level 33 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Alexander Van Der Swaluw
Alexander Van Der Swaluw

Alexander Van Der Swaluw opened to 500,000 from early position and snap-called when Takahiro Tsugu jammed for 3,225,000.

Takahiro Tsugu: 99
Alexander van der Swaluw: AA

Tsugu made a set of nines on the 9K6 flop and held out to crack the rockets after the K2 runout. Van Der Swaluw was reduced to crumbs and found himself in the big blind two hands later.

Wael Sarkis limped in and action folded to the Dutchman, and he checked his option. He then committed his last 250,000 on the Q8Q flop and was quickly called.

Alexander van der Swaluw: 109
Wael Sarkis: AA

Van Der Swaluw just laughed as he saw his opponent's hand, but he managed to take the lead after he made a straight on the J turn. He sealed the checkmark after the 4 river for some justice.

Van Der Swaluw's wild ride was not over as the next hand he was at risk again with A5 and was up against Aziz Efe's 88. The A9Q flop put him out in front and he remained ahead after the 95 runout.

Blind Versus Blind Carnage

Level 33 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

The action folded all the way to Wael Sarkis in the small blind who called and Joris Ruijs checked his option in the big blind.

The 796 flop hit the felt and Sarkis quickly led out for 325,000. Ruijs sat in the tank for a moment and then raised to 750,000. Action was then back on Sarkis who only thought for a moment before moving all in. Ruijs snap called and the cards hit their backs.

Joris Ruijs: 98
Wael Sarkis: 105

The J turn did not improve Sarkis and the 7 river gave Ruijs the double up.

Karsenty Takes From the Chip Leader

Level 33 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

David Karsenty opened in early position to 500,000 and got called in one spot by Wael Sarkis in the big blind.

The 2310 flop checked through to a 5 turn. Sarkis checked once more and Karsenty opted to go for a 900,000 bet. Sarkis called.

The 7 river was checked over to Karsenty one last time and he sat in the tank for about a minute before announcing he was all in.

Sarkis snap folded but Karsenty would still gain a healthy pot in the process.
