Just as the three table redraw was to take place, Sonny Franco opened to 200,000 from under the gun and left 80,000 behind. Wael Sarkis rejammed from the small blind, which folded out Luke Martinelli.

Gordo Snaps Off the River Bet

Guillermo Gordo opened the action on the button to 90,000. It folded to Joris Ruijs in the big blind who called, and they were off to a flop heads up.

The 2♥K♥3♥ flop landed and action checked through to a 9♣ turn. Ruijs took a moment and then opted to lead out for 150,000. Gordo called.

The river brought a 10♣ and Ruijs went into the tank before putting out a pot-sized bet of 450,000. Gordo snap-called.

Ruijs tabled K♣6♥ for just a pair of kings and Gordo rolled over 7♥10♥ for the flopped flush. He dragged the pot and moved into a top three chip stack.

In a blind versus blind confrontation, the pot stood at approximately 250,000 as the flop read 6♥K♣3♥.

Jon Ander Vallinas bet 50,000 from the small blind. Aziz Efe called in the big blind.

The 4♦ turned and Vallinas sized up to 300,000. Efe was undeterred.

The 9♦ fell on the river and Vallinas spent a considerable amount of time in the tank before moving all in, putting Efe to the test for his remaining 985,000. Efe snap-called. Vallinas tabled K♦3♦ for two pair, while Efe's scooped this massive double up with 7♣5♣ for a straight.

Shortly after, Vallinas' seat was seen empty as he had been sent to the rail in quick succession.

Marc Foggin raised to 100,000 from under the gun. Antoine Labat called in the cutoff, as did Alfred Nader, in the small blind.

Nader played out of flow on the 4♣Q♣2♥ flop, leading for 100,000. Only Labat called.

The 5♦ turn saw Nader empty the clip, moving all in and putting Labat to the test for his effective stack of 1,500,000. Labat made a quick fold.

As Nader raked in the pot, he flashed the Q♦ to the table.

On the A♦J♦5♠ flop, action checked to Gordo, who bet 75,000. Only Karsenty called.

Karsenty then check-called for 225,000 on the 9♣ turn, which brought in the 8♣ river. Karsenty checked for a third time, which prompted Gordo to fire out 900,000, which left him with 10,000 behind.

Karsenty went deep into the tank and eventually made a single-chip call. Gordo tabled J♥J♠ for a set of jacks and Karsenty mucked.

The following hand, Karsenty opened to 60,000 and called when Piotr Wiecek moved all in for 275,000.

Karsenty had AxKx while Wiecek had AxJx The board ran out with the K♣7♠5♥3♥5♣ and Karsenty received a small rebate.

The pot had already swelled to over 900,000 with the full board reading 3♣4♥J♠6♣J♥. Karen Nazarian, in the big blind, moved all in for 400,000 and his tournament life. Alfred Nader, in middle position, went into the tank.

Nader thought for some time before making the call. Nazarian tabled K♥9♦ for just king high, while Nader slammed 5♦5♠ onto the felt, claiming one of the biggest pots of this tournament and sending Nazarian to the rail with just a pair of fives.
