Taherkhani Checks That Twice?

Boris Angelov opened in middle position to 3,000 before the action made it to Kanan Taherkhani in the small blind who put in a three-bet to 9,000. Angelov called and they were off to a flop heads up.
The A♠K♣6♣ flop hit the felt and Taherkhani continued for 6,000. Angelov called and the dealer pealed off the 3♥ on the turn.
Taherkhani slowed down with a check and Angelov checked back. The J♦ landed on the river and after a little thought Taherkhani checked once more. Angelov snap checked back and Taherkhani tabled an interesting hand.
It appeared he was getting very trappy as he rolled over A♣A♥ for top set that was checked twice. He still scooped and is sitting with a very nice stack early in the day.
