Ten-High Wins at Showdown

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The action folded to Nicolas Vayssieres and he limped in from the small blind. Dmitry Yurasov sat in the big blind and checked. The AK5 flop saw Vayssieres put another 30,000 into the pot and Yurasov call. Vayssieres then bet 40,000 on the A river, receiving another call from his opponent.

The K river double-paired the board and both players checked. Vayssieres showed 92 for a nine kicker, but Yurasov played 106 and his ten kicker won him the pot.

Pavlov Values Two Pair

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Nariman Yaghmai opened to 60,000 from the cutoff. But Ilia Pavlov three-bet to 240,000 from the big blind.

Yaghmai called, then both players checked on the flop 710A. They checked again on the turn Q.

But on the river 3, Pavlov took a big pile worth 500,000 and slid it in front of him. Yaghmai quickly called, but had to muck his cards after Pavlov showed A3.

Quan Zhou

The action folded to Quan Zhou on the button and he open-jammed his final 520,000 chips in the middle. Hwany Lee was in the big blind and mad and instantaneous call to put the Chinese player at risk.

Quan Zhou: 77
Hwany Lee: AK

Lee outflopped Zhou on 54A. Zhou turned some additional outs with the 8, but the 10 river did not bring him a set or straight. He was eliminated in 15th place and would not win a second trophy in the High Roller after winning the $3,000 Mystery Bounty earlier this week.

Pavlov Rivers Sammartino; Doubles Up to Chip Lead

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ilia Pavlov
Ilia Pavlov

Dario Sammartino raised to 60,000 from the hijack before Ilia Pavlov made it 165,000 to go from the cutoff. The action folded back to Sammartino, who made the call.

The 4310 flop saw Sammartino check-raise Pavlov's 105,000 bet to 350,000, and Pavlov call. Sammartino then downsized to 300,000 on the 9 turn before the 8 river brought the fourth spade on the board.

Sammartino then checked and Pavlov spent one time bank extension before moving all in for 505,000. Sammartino asked for a count before slamming in some calling chips.

Pavlov had rivered the ace-high flush with A10 and Sammartino frustratedly showed 65 for a turned flush that was no longer good by the river.

Pavlov doubled up to the chip lead, while Sammartino still played more than an average stack.

Vayssieres With Top Pair

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

After an open to 50,000 by Sergi Reixach in early position, Nicolas Vayssieres three-bet to 120,000 from the cutoff.

Reixach called, then called again a continuation bet to 45,000 on the flop 4J6.

The 7 came on the turn, but both players checked. Reixach checked the river A too, and Vayssieres eventually checked back with A9. And it was the winning hand, as Reixach missed the flush with 88.
