Al-Kubasi was poised for a massive double up until the flop came 8♣9♣5♥, giving Kropmanns top set. Al-Kubasi let out a loud groan after running into a set for the third time today and could only watch helplessly as the board ran out Q♠6♥, sending him to an early exit after starting the day in second place on the leaderboard.

At the same time on another table, Luka Bojovic moved all in for 320,000 in the hijack, Grzegorz Kozieja reshoved for 900,000 in the small blind, and Andrei Vavilonskii gave it some thought before mucking his big blind.

"Wow, ace-eight I folded," Vavilonskii said, suggesting that Kozieja had hit a one-outer. The river was the 9♦ and Kozieja returned Bojovic's phone charger to him in return for the rest of his stack.
