Joumaa Makes a Great Call
Sergey Konovalov opened to 500 from under the gun and received calls from Oleg Ustinovich in the hijack, Bakhos Joumaa on the button, Tobias Peters in the small blind and Daniel Nagy in the big blind.
The flop came 6♥3♦5♠ and action checked to Konovalov who bet 2,900. Ustinovich folded, Joumaa called, Peters folded and Nagy called.
Action checked again to Konovalov, who bet 6,800 on the 9♥ turn. Joumaa made the call while Nagy got out of the way.
On the 3♠ river Konovalov moved all in, covering Joumaa's remaining stack of roughly 20,000. Joumaa briefly thought about his decision before making the call.
Konovalov tried to muck his hand, but was forced to show 7♣2♣ for a missed gutshot straight draw turned into a bluff. Joumaa tabled Q♥5♥ for just a pair of fives to secure more than a full double up at Konovalov's expense.
