"Sneaky, Sneaky" For Grafton
Level 2
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Tom Orpaz had just lost a pot to Timothy Adams when he bet 15,000 on the river, Adams called with two aces, and Orpaz was forced to show a missed straight draw.
The next hand, Orpaz opened to 2,500 and Sam Grafton came along from the button. The flop came 5♠3♠K♦ and Orpaz continued for 3,000.
Grafton called to the 6♥ turn where Orpaz checked. Grafton fired out 15,000 and Orpaz called as the 10♠ fell on the river. Both players checked it down.
Orpaz showed 5♣4♣ for a pair of fives, but Grafton turned over J♠10♦ for a rivered pair of tens.
"Sneaky, sneaky," Grafton said.
"It's not even sneaky, sneaky. It's lucky, lucky. Fifteen thousand with nothing, complete air," Orpaz replied.
