Grafton Doesn't Back Down From Beresford
The addition of Sam Grafton and Jean-Noel Thorel to the field forced the opening of a second table.
Grafton took his seat at the same table as Tom Orpaz, who began discussing how he's invested in Instagram handles. "Mine is just swgrafton. It's my name. It sounds like I'm signing up for a mortgage. If I win this tournament I'm going to buy something," Grafton said.
"If I win, I'll buy you just 'sam." Orpaz told him.
Grafton then three-bet to 6,500 on the button after Thorel raised to 2,000. Conor Beresford, in the big blind, four-bet to 21,000 and Grafton called.
"When is late reg?" Grafton asked heading to the 6♥Q♦10♥ flop, where Beresford bet another 14,000. Grafton called and the 7♦ fell on the turn.
Beresford slowed down and checked as Grafton fired out 45,000. Beresford gave up his hand and Grafton showed the J♣.
"I don't know what that means. I don't like 250 bigs, so I had to give some to my friend Sam" Beresford said.
