Mircea-Alexandru Flutur

Carl Shaw raised to 115,000 in the cutoff and was called by Felipe Morell on the button and Mircea Flutur in the big blind.

The flop came K107 and action checked to Shaw who bet 200,000. Morelli folded, but Flutur then moved all in for 450,000. Shaw snap-called.

Mircea Flutur: J6
Carl Shaw: 107

Shaw had two pair, while Flutur was chasing a flush draw. The turn came the A and Flutur completed his flush to take the lead. Shaw needed to fill up on the river to score the knockout but instead saw the 8 fall as Flutur, the last remaining online qualifier in the field, doubled up.

Nebezhev Gets There on the River For Massive Double

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Khazret Nebezhev
Khazret Nebezhev

Khazret Nebezhev raised to 125,000 from the hijack and Joao Sydenstricker called in the big blind.

The flop came Q47 and Nebezhev continued for 100,000. Sydenstricker then raised to 325,000 and Nebezhev quickly called.

Sydenstricker led out for 240,000 on the 5 turn and Nebezhev again called. The river came the J and Sydenstricker, nearly covering his entire face with the collar of his red sweater, used three time bank cards before betting 1,500,000.

Nebezhev called all in for his last 1,195,000 and Sydenstricker was forced to show K6 for a bluff. Nebezhev turned over A8 for a rivered flush as he doubled up.

"I told you never bluff," Nebezhev told Sydenstricker.

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Pedro Lopes
Pedro Lopes

Pedro Lopes opened to 100,000 from under the gun and Ezequiel Waigel three-bet to 275,000. Lopes four-bet to 860,000, leaving only 120,000 behind. Waigel moved all in with a covering stack, sending Lopes deep into the tank.

With a pay jump coming up after the next elimination, Lopes used seven time extension chips before putting in the call to put himself at risk.

Pedro Lopes: KQ
Ezequiel Waigel: JJ

It was a classic flip preflop, however, Waigel was left drawing close to dead when Lopes hit a flush on the 1054 flop. Waigel picked up some outs when the board paired on the 5 turn but the 2 river was a blank and Lopes received a full double up at Waigel's expense.

"Show Me Ace of Diamonds": Marcus Prediction Leads to Double

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Van Marcus
Van Marcus

Van Marcus opened to 140,000 from under the gun and Santiago Plante used a time bank before three-bet jamming with Marcus covered. Marcus went deep in the tank and used six time banks before calling off with a stack of around 1,200,000.

Van Marcus: AQ
Santiago Plante: QQ

"Ace of diamonds. Show me one time," Marcus said when he saw he was against queens.

The 6K10 improved Marcus to a gutshot but he was still calling for the ace of diamonds. "I'm feeling the ace of diamonds. Right here."

The dealer then put down the A on the turn and the 2 on the river didn't change anything for Marcus to earn the unlikely double.

"Is that going to make it on TV?" Marcus asked as he raked in the pot.

João Sydenstricker
João Sydenstricker

João Sydenstricker opened to 135,000 from middle position and Khazret Nebezhev made the call from the small blind.

The flop came 743. Nebezhev checked, Sydenstricker bet 180,000 and Nebezhev put in a check-raise to 415,000. Sydenstricker used one time extension before making the call.

On the 9 turn Nebezhev bet 665,000. Sydenstricker moved all in for 1,375,000 and Nebezhev called with slightly more to put Sydenstricker at risk.

João Sydenstricker: 99
