In a limped pot, Kayhan Mokri and Jean-Noel Thorel checked to the turn on a board of 9♥8♦3♠6♠ when Mokri bet 50,000 on the button.

Thorel called to the 4♠ river, where Mokri fired out another 150,000. Thorel quickly called and turned over J♥6♥ thinking he had won the pot.

Mokri, though, had 6♦3♥ for two pair as he narrowed the gap between them early in the heads-up match.

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 75,000 on the button and Steve O'Dwyer called in the big blind.

The flop came K♣5♦9♣ and Thorel bet 100,000. O'Dwyer, with less behind, buried his face in his hands as he used up two time banks before eventually folded. "Good fold," Thorel told him as he showed the K♠.

Thorel then called a 55,000 raise from Kayhan Mokri as they went heads-up to the 4♠2♠8♣ flop. Mokri bet 35,000 on the button and Thorel came back with a raise to 100,000.

Mokri called and both players checked the K♣ turn. The river came the 8♠ and Thorel led out for 100,000. Mokri called, only to muck when Thorel showed 4♦3♦.

In a limped pot blind versus blind, the flop read K♠8♣3♣. Jean-Noel Thorel check-called a bet of 25,000 from Kayhan Mokri.

When the A♣ hit the turn, Thorel check-called once again, this time the bet was 100,000.

The 5♦ completed the board, and Thorel checked to Mokri for a final time. Mokri grabbed a stack of greens and dropped them across the line for a bet of 500,000. Thorel wasted no time dropping a stack of his own to make the call.

Mokri tabled 6♠2♣ before Thorel showed A♠8♠ for two pair.

"Hard to make two pair fold," Said Mokri.

The flop came A♣5♠8♥ and O'Dwyer led out for 25,000. Thorel called and the 9♠ fell on the turn.

O'Dwyer then bet another 60,000 and this time Thorel came back with a raise to 150,000. O'Dwyer spent a few seconds staring across the table at Thorel before he called.

The river came the 3♥ and O'Dwyer checked. Thorel then bet 225,000 and O'Dwyer quickly called, only to be shown 9♣8♠ for two pair as Thorel won the pot.

The 9♣ fell on the turn and both players checked to see the 6♥ river. Mokri checked and O'Dwyer fired a bet of 180,000, putting Mokri to a decision.

After about 20 seconds, Mokri surrendered the pot.
