Antonius Hits the Rail After Cold Deck

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Patrik Antonius
Patrik Antonius

With the board reading 8K4 and about 85,000 in the middle, Patrik Antonius checked from the big blind and Francesco Pilato bet 15,000 from early position. Pakinai Lisawad made the call before Antonius put in a check-raise to 105,000. Pilato folded and Lisawad called leaving players heads up going to the turn.

On the 9 turn Antonius moved all in and Lisawad snap-called with a covering stack.

Patrik Antonius: J8
Pakinai Lisawad: 44

Antonius' two pair was in bad shape against Lisawad who had flopped bottom set. He failed to fill up on the Q river, ending his deep run while Lisawad collected the last of his chips.

Lofberg Takes From Nouira

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Under the gun, Simon Lofberg raised and was called only once, by Maher Nouira in the cutoff.

Both players checked on the flop 86A and moved on to the turn 9, where they checked again. A second nine, the 9, came on the river. And this time, Lofberg took a few chips from his stack to bet 115,000.

Nouira went into the tank and eventually called. But he mucked his cards when Lofberg revealed A5 for a pair of aces.

Bruel Flops a Set in All-In Preflop

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Patrick Bruel
Patrick Bruel

Patrick Bruel limped under the gun as did Vladas Tamasauskas in the small blind before Andras Nemeth raised to 100,000 in the big blind. Bruel then jammed for 375,000 and Tamasauskas snap-folded while Nemeth called.

Patrick Bruel: 55
Andras Nemeth: AK

It was a coin-flip and the K52 flop connected with both players, Bruel flopping the best of it with a set. The 9 turn and Q river meant Bruel could remain seated as he dragged in the double.

Francesco Pilato
Francesco Pilato

On a flop of 864, Roberto Sagra was in the big blind shoved for 250,000, and Francesco Pilato snap-called.

Roberto Sagra: 75
Francesco Pilato: A10

Sagra flopped a straight, but he was unfortunately drawing dead as Pilato flopped the nut-flush. The 9 turn and 8 river were just a formality as Sagra exited the tournament.

Shevliakov Doubles Through Lofberg

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Aleksandr Shevliakov raised 40,000 in the hijack and Simon Lofberg three-bet 85,000 next to act. The action folded back to Shevliakov and he jammed for 245,000. Lofberg wasted no time putting in a call and both hands were turned on their backs.

Aleksandr Shevliakov: 1010
Simon Lofberg: AK

It was a classic race and the J4362 run out missed both players for Shevliakov's tens to hold.

Lee Doesn't Slow Down

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Vladas Tamasauskas opened 40,000 in early position and Hwany Lee called on the button before Toby Joyce came along in the big blind.

When the QQ10 flop hit the felt, the action checked to Lee who bet 30,000. Only Tamasauskas called.

The 5 fell on the turn and Tamasauskas check-called another bet, this time Lee fired 90,000.

On the 9 river, Tamasauskas checked for a final time and Lee stacked up some green chips on top of his greys and pushed a bet of 175,000 across the line. Tamasauskas took almost 30 seconds before pushing his cards into the centre.

Igor Yaroshevskyy
Igor Yaroshevskyy

Jeferson Pinow opened 40,000 under the gun and Nicholas Palma called in the hijack before Igor Yaroshevskyy came along in the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of K32, and Yaroshevskyy check-called a bet of 55,000 from Pinow, while Palma folded.

The 3 fell on the turn, and Yaroshevskyy took the lead, firing 85,000 into the middle and Pinow called.

When the J completed the board, Yaroshevskyy continued to bet, this time 45,000 and Pinow snap-called.

Yaroshevskyy tabled KQ for top two pair, and Pinow mucked his hand.
