Silva Puts Clement to the Test

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Kevin Clement
Kevin Clement

With the board reading 22734 and about 1,300,000 in the middle, Antonio Silva had bet 525,000 putting Kevin Clement deep into the tank.

After a couple minutes a player called the clock. Very shortly afterwards Clement stuck in the call.

Silva tabled A9 for a stone cold bluff with a blocker to the ace-high flush while Clement, who got out of his seat with excitement upon seeing he had the winning hand, tabled QQ for an overpair to take down a colossal pot.

Kaufman Catches the Turn

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Igor Kaufman
Igor Kaufman

Igor Kaufman limped from the small blind and Dionysios Kartsampas checked his big blind option to the JA3 flop.

Kaufman checked to Kartsampas, who slid out a bet of 200,000. Kaufman then asked for a count of his opponent's remaining stack before raising enough to put Kartsampas all in.

After counting out his remaining 1,450,000 chips and taking a few minutes in the tank, Kartsampas made the call.

Dionysios Kartsampas: AQ
Igor Kaufman: A10

Kartsampas was in front but needed to dodge plenty of cards. The 10 was one of those, as Kaufman connected for two pair. The 7 was no help to Kartsampas, who wished everyone good luck on his way out of the tournament room.

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Alexandre Mitjavila
Alexandre Mitjavila

After clashing in an earlier hand just before the last break, Daniel Herrera and Alexandre Mitjavila squared off again with the latter at risk.

Alexandre Mitjavila: AA
Daniel Herrera: Q9

The KA10 flop brought something for both players, as Mitjavila spiked a set but was in danger against Herrera's flush and straight draws. The 6 turn left Herrera in front after completing his flush.

On the verge of seeing his aces cracked, Mitjavila caught the K river to make a full house, winning the second round against Herrera to stay alive.

Karadimos Soars after Cracking Aces

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Petros Karadimos
Petros Karadimos

Fabian Bartuschk opened to 160,000 from middle position and Petros Karadimos three-bet to 500,000. Bartuschk asked Karadimos for a count of his current stack before moving all in for 2,205,000. Bartuschk considered his options for about 90 seconds before sticking in the call to put Bartuschk at risk.

Fabian Bartuschk: AA
Petros Karadimos: 1010

Bartuschk was well ahead with the best possible starting hand until the flop came 1096 with a ten in the window, eliciting a sigh from Bartuschk who was suddenly drawing to two outs. Those outs never came on the Q2 turn and river and Bartuschk's run came to an end while Karadimos catapuled up the chip counts.

After a series of bets and raises on a flop of 1086, Vasyl Laba found himself all in and at risk against Ferdinando D'Alessio.

Vasyl Laba: JJ
Ferdinando D'Alessio: 97

Laba's overpair was crushed by D'Alessio, who had flopped the nut-straight. He picked up two outs when the board paired on the 8 turn, but could not find a jack on the A river, resulting in his elimination. D'Alessio scooped a massive pot, soaring past ten million chips in the process.

Meanwhile at another table, Miltiadis Kyriakides was also eliminated from the tournament.
