Stanica Gets Respect in Multiway Pot

Ion Stanica opened to 700 from early position and received calls from Ricard Gonzalez in middle position, Slimane Mameche on the button, Alexandre Mitjavila in the small blind and Babak Nasrollahzadeh in the big blind.
The flop came K♦J♠8♥ and action checked all the way around to Mameche on the button, who bet 1,600. Mitjavila and Nasrollahzadeh got out of the way before Stanica put in a check-raise to 3,800. Gonzales opted to fold bringing the action back on Mameche.
"Queen-Jack no good huh?" Mameche asked his opponent, while pondering his decision.
"Did you check the king?" Mameche continued.
Eventually, Mameche chose to fold, showing the J♦ in his hand, and Stanica scooped up a decent pot without showdown.
