Mateos and Gierse Battle Again

Level 15 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 50,000 in early position and Marius Gierse defended his big blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Gierse check-called a bet of 45,000 from Mateos.

The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {2-Hearts} on the river. Gierse led out with a small bet of 60,000 which put Mateos in the tank, using two of his time banks. Mateos ended up laying his hand down and Gierse collected the pot.

"Ace-high?" Gierse asked.

"Jack-high," Mateos responded with a shrug of his shoulders.
