Kunze Doubles and then Busts to Briotti

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Tom Kunze shoved all in on the button for 35,000 and was called by Tommaso Briotti in the big blind. Kunze held {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} and was up against the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} of Briotti. Kunze spiked a king on the flop and held on for a double up to just over 70,000 chips.

However, in the next hand, Kunze pushed all in again for just over 70,000 this time and Briotti once again called from the small blind. Kunze was in rough shape this time with {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} against Briotti's {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Briotti held on to eliminate Kunze just one hand later.
