Nice Call by Meran

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a board that read {8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} Kasper Nielson bet 7,500 from the button and was check-called by Alberto Meran in the big blind.

The river came the {3-Clubs} which saw Meran check and Nielson bet again, this time for 12,000. Meran thought about it for a second before he slid out calling chips.

Nielson sheepishly turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for queen high but was shocked when Meran rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for a monstrous king high to scoop the pot.

"Wow nice call, man," Nielson told Meran as he fist-bumped him.

Hssain Snaps Off Tirel

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Youness Ait Hssain three-bet to 6,100 from the cutoff before Allan Tirel re-raised to 18,800 in the small blind. Hssain called, then called another bet of 11,000 on the {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop.

Both players checked the {7-Clubs} turn. The river brought the {a-Diamonds} and Tirel shoved for around 40,000.

Hssain snap-called and showed {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for two pair. Tirel could only turn over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and headed for the exit.

Flop Raise Battle

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a pot of just over 11,000 on a flop of {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Rene Zaffran led out from the small blind to 2,000 and Narcis-Gabriel Nedelcu elected on a raise to 7,000.

Without much thought, Zaffran put in the three-bet raise to 15,000 and Nedelcu smirked as he tossed his cards in the muck, sending the pot over to Zaffran.

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Ignacio Sole Aparicio
Ignacio Sole Aparicio

A huge hand has just played out on Table 19 resulting in our first 200,000 stack in the room.

Action started with Ignacio Sole Aparicio who opened 2,500 from middle position. Kalietina Diana smooth called from the hijack before Petrus Brandt reraised to 11200 from the button. Aparicio then four-bet to a total of 20,000, Diana folded and Brandt made the call.

On the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop both players opted to check and the turn came {2-Hearts}. Aparicio slid out a bet of 17,000 and Brandt called.

The river card was the {4-Spades} and Aparicio bet 90,000 which was enough to put Brandt to a decision for his tournament life. Brandt took his time before giving up the hand and Aparicio dragged the chips and is now one, if not the, chip leader in the room.

Kvisthammar Flops a Set But Still Has a Sweat

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Peter Kvisthammar: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Aurimas Chmieliauskas: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop gave Kvisthammar top set and Chmieliauskas a straight draw. Kvisthammar dodged the draw as the board ran out {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}, securing the double up.

Left with around 45,000, Chmieliauskas was eliminated a few hands later.

Giotti Runs Into Ghidini's Kings

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Leonardo Giotti moved all in for around 45,000 from the cutoff and was called by big stack Roberto Ghidini in middle position.

Leonardo Giotti: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Roberto Ghidini: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop was no help to Giotti, and he was left drawing dead when the {k-Hearts} on the turn improved Ghidini to a set. The river was the {2-Spades} and Giotti shook Ghidini's hand before heading for the exit.

De Oliveira Takes Down Three-Bet Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action was picked up on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} in a three-bet pot of roughly 25,000 in the middle. Vjekoslav Lozo led from the small blind to 7,100 and Gabriel Bueno De Oliveira made the call on the button.

The {6-Diamonds} hit the turn and Lozo checked over to De Oliveira who bet 12,200, which was called. On the {j-Hearts} river both players checked and the hands were tabled.

Lozo rolled over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for missed straight draw and ace-high while De Oliveira happily turned over {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for bottom pair and enough to scoop the large pot.
