Barbero Commits His Short Stack

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

Nacho Barbero raised to 5,000 in middle position and was met with a three-bet to 13,500 by Alex Rodriguez on the button.

Barbero called from his dwindling stack to take a flop.

The dealer spread a monotone {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Barbero checked to Rodriguez, who bet 6,000.

Barbero called, and a fourth club came on the turn with the {j-Clubs}.

Both players now checked and the {3-Spades} fell on the river.

Barbero now led out for 22,000, leaving himself just over 10,000 behind.

As the PokerStars broadcast crew gathered to film the action, Rodriguez went into the tank for a couple of minutes, before frustratedly folding his cards to send the pot across the table to Barbero, who is making a valiant attempt to rebuild his stack.

"I'll be in the booth soon, boys," the commentator told the camera crew.

Tamasauskas's Aces Get Full Value

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
