Arthur Conan Eliminated in 6th Place (€25,880)

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Arthur Conan
Arthur Conan

Arthur Conan opened to 85,000 from the cutoff and Francisco Benitez three-bet to 250,000 on the button. Action folded back around and Conan four-bet jammed a stack of about 1,000,000. Benitez called with a bigger stack.

Arthur Conan: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Francisco Benitez: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Conan had the inferior pair and the runout of {4-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} didn't change things to send him out in sixth place.

Yazan Mdanat Eliminated in 7th Place (€20,700)

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Yazan Mdanat
Yazan Mdanat

Yazan Mdanat jammed for 490,000 under the gun and Francisco Benitez called in the hijack.

Yazan Mdanat: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Francisco Benitez: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Mdanat was in rough shape against the rockets and the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop left him needing running cards, but the board completed with the {10-Hearts} and {k-Diamonds} to eliminate the Jordanian player in seventh place for €20,700.

Igor Pihela Sr. Eliminated in 8th Place (€16,560)

Level 20 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Igor Pihela
Igor Pihela

Before the blinds went up, Joris Ruijs opened to 60,000 in early position, Yazan Mdanat flatted in the cutoff, and Igor Pihela moved all in on the button for his stack of approximately 600,000. Ruijs called and Mdanat folded.

Joris Ruijs: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Igor Pihela: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Pihela ran into the cowboys, and although the {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop gave a bit of hope, the {6-Hearts} turn and {6-Diamonds} river completed the board to eliminate the Estonian Day 1 chipleader in eighth place for €16,560, while the Dutch Ruijs' good fortune continued as he added to his chip lead shortly after he pulled the €100,000 bounty.

Gabriel Moura Eliminated in 9th Place (€13,250)

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Gabriel Moura
Gabriel Moura

Gabriel Moura had lost most of his chips in a previous hand and got the rest of his short stack in the middle to see a flop four ways.

The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Igor Pihela led out for 150,000 from the big blind. Anton Suarez folded, leading Joris Ruijs to raise to 350,000. Pihela responded with a three-bet jam and Ruijs snapped him off with his stack of 1,100,000.

Gabriel Moura: {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Joris Ruijs: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Igor Pihela: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Ruijs was ahead with the flopped set but needed to dodge spades as Pihela had a flush draw, while Moura had little hopes of winning the main pot. Neither the turn nor river brought spades and Ruijs scooped the main pot and a huge side pot to take a commanding lead, while Moura was eliminated in ninth place.

Joris Ruijs
Joris Ruijs

Just before the nine remaining players went on a short break before the start of the final table, Joris Ruijs redeemed one of his Mystery Bounty Tokens from an earlier elimination and found the top €100,000 bounty. He celebrated with his rail as the bounty already earned him more than the second-place prize.

He will enter the final table third in chips and will soon be looking to add even more to his total earnings for the day.

Dimitar Danchev Eliminated in 10th Place (€10,590)

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Dimitar Danchev
Dimitar Danchev

Dimitar Danchev had gotten his remaining short stack of approximately 160,000 in and was at risk against Bruno Volkmann.

Dimitar Danchev: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Bruno Volkmann: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} flop improved Volkmann to a set and left Danchev with hope as he had a flush draw, but the {a-Clubs} turn gave Volkmann a boat, and the inconsequential {3-Clubs} river eliminated Danchev in 10th place.

Daewoong Song
Daewoong Song

Daewoong Song was all in and at risk in a heads-up pot against chip-leader Francisco Benitez.

Daewoong Song: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Francisco Benitez: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Song's sixes were ahead after the flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-}, but the {a-Hearts} on the turn gave Benitez the lead and Song was eliminated in 11th place after the {j-Hearts} river.
