Lococo Wins Three-Way Pot With Big River Bet
Leonardo Romeo opened to 60,000 from under the gun. He picked up two callers, Davis Mihelsons on the button and Alejandro Lococo in the big blind.
The dealer laid down the flop. All three players checked the flop.
On the turn, Lococo decided to lead for 115,000. Both Romeo and Mihelsons made the call.
The river landed the . Lococo assembled six black chips for 600,000 and moved them into the middle. Romeo went deep into the tank, staring at Lococo. Lococo took a deep breath of exasperation, then he put his head in his arms and feigned sleep.
After about two minutes of tanking, Romeo let his cards go, as did Mihelsons behind him.
"I thought it would be him that had a decision, not you," Lococo said, pointing at Mihelsons but talking to Romeo. "My heart started to beat, bah-bum bah-bum," mimed Lococo. "It's not good on the heart."
Maybe not, but the pot was good for the stack as it grew even higher.
