Theelen Loses a Flip, Then Wins One

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Pieter Theelen
Pieter Theelen

Leonardo Romeo raised to 2,400,000 from the cutoff with less than that behind and Pieter Theelen three-bet on the button to get the hand heads-up. Romeo called.

Leonardo Romeo: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Pieter Theelen: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Romeo, who took a series of bad beats on Day 3, saw his luck turn around as he was able to win the flip to double up on the runout of {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Not long after, Theelen was all in and at risk against Silius Moll.

Pieter Theelen: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Silius Moll: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Theelen likely wasn't happy about once again flipping in a big pot, but the board ran out a clean {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} to earn him the double.

Guivarch Gets a Shove Through

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Pieter Theelen opened to 1,600,000 from the hijack and Anton Suarez flat-called on the button. Quentin Guivarch then three-bet jammed a stack of 10,000,000 from the big blind and both opponents laid it down.

Theelen had won a sizable pot against Leonardo Romeo in the last hand before break in a blind versus blind battle that included Romeo check-raising the {2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop, betting the {q-Spades} turn and then check-folding on the {q-Diamonds} river.

Suarez Turns Trips Then Doubles Through Sinclair

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Anton Suarez
Anton Suarez

Anton Suarez opened to 1,200,000 from early position and Elias Suhonen three-bet to 3,200,000 from the cutoff. Suarez called.

Suarez checked on the flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Suhonen bet 1,500,000. Suarez called. Suarez then led out for 2,500,000 on the {q-Clubs} turn and Suhonen called.

The board only got more connected on the {9-Hearts} river and both players checked. Suarez tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for turned trips to win the pot.

Not long after, Suarez completed in the small blind and Jack Sinclair bumped it up from the big blind. Suarez called.

Suarez checked on the flop of {q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Sinclair bet 1,600,000. Suarez called. Suarez checked again on the {9-Hearts} turn and Sinclair sized up to 7,000,000. Suarez again called.

Suarez checked a third time on the {k-Clubs} river and Sinclair moved all in, which was met by a snap-call from his opponent. Sinclair tabled a stone bluff with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Suarez showed {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a straight and his rail erupted in celebration as their boy took the chip lead.

"What did I miss?" Silius Moll said as he returned to his seat.

Flush for Theelen

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Leonardo Romeo completed his small blind and Pieter Theelen opted to check in the big blind.

They both checked through the {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop and the {3-Hearts} turn to the {4-Clubs} on the river.

Romeo checked for the final time but Theelen put in a bet of 2,600,000. Romeo cut out calling chips and considered his options for a while. He looked at the rest of his stack, sat up straight and then decided to just make the call.

Theelen tabled the {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the turned trips and rivered flush to claim the pot as Romeo mucked his hand.

Suarez More Than Doubles

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Leonardo Romeo raised to 1,300,000 from the middle position and Silius Moll three-bet to 3,500,000 from the cutoff. Anton Suarez four-bet jammed for 5,100,000 from the button for the blinds and Romeo to fold. Moll confirmed the amount once more before making the call.

Anton Suarez: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Silius Moll: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} to pose no problems to Suarez's rockets as he improved them to a full house on the river to more than double up.

Romeo Bluffs Three Streets Into Straight of Moll

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Leonardo Romeo
Leonardo Romeo

Silius Moll opened to 1,000,000 from early position and Leonardo Romeo defended out of the big blind.

Romeo then led out for 1,500,000 on the flop of {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Moll called. Romeo again led out for 3,000,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn and Moll again called.

The {9-Hearts} on the river completed the board and Romeo moved all in with Moll covered. Moll squirmed a bit but called after not much time.

"Good call," Romeo said in defeat as Moll showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a flopped nut straight that was no longer the nuts by the river.

Despite the all-in-and-call situation, the dealer accidentally mucked Romeo's hand, so his holding was never revealed.

Sinclair, who him recently made a bigger jam, confirmed the action from Quentin Guivarch and gave some thoughts.

"The triple donk! It's a good move, but it never works," he laughed.
