Greenwood Doesn't Need the Help

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 4,500 in the cutoff and Sam Greenwood called from the big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Greenwood check-called a bet of 9,000 from Ponakovs.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Greenwood checked again. Ponakovs put together a bet of 35,000 and Greenwood still called. the {9-Spades} completed the board and both players quickly checked. Greenwood tabled {a-}{9-Clubs} for two pair and Ponakovs instantly mucked.

"I don't think I needed the help on the river," Greenwood pointed out. Ponakovs confirmed that his opponent was good the entire way.

During the hand, Kannapong Thanarattrakul joined the field to bring the total number of entries up to 13 now.
